The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Pipeline Safety Division invites you to attend a Pipeline Safety Seminar. This is a free one-day training that will be held in three different locations:
March 27, 2014 – Long Beach
April 3, 2014 – Bakersfield
May 1, 2014 – Concord
April 3, 2014 – Bakersfield
May 1, 2014 – Concord
This year in an effort to make pipeline safety training more geographically accessible to California’s hazardous liquid pipeline operators, hydro testing firms and other interested parties, we have shortened the program to one-day, eliminated the need for overnight lodging and set the agenda starting and ending times to allow for commuting.
The preliminary agenda includes presentations from the Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) who will discuss state and federal regulatory issues. OSFM staff will also present a review of California’s hydrostatic pressure testing guidelines. The American Petroleum Institute’s (API) new Damage Prevention Toolbox will be discussed as well as other items of interest to the pipeline industry.
